First grade ended our unit on The History of the Earth with a fossil and gem dig as well as making our own "fossils" out of clay. During this unit, we also learned about the layers of the Earth, volcanoes and geysers, and how dinosaurs once ruled the Earth. They had so much fun being paleontologists and geologists during this unit!
